Institute for a Drug-Free Workplace
This site offers publications, surveys and membership information. The National Drug-Free Workplace Alliance (NDWA) is a division of Drug Free America Foundation, Inc. (DFAF), an international drug prevention and policy organization dedicated to prevention of substance abuse around the world.
Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA)
Provides news and information of interest to those involved in the drug testing industry.
The Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA) was founded in 1995 and has grown to represent over 1500 member companies, and expanded its scope. DATIA now represents the entire spectrum of drug and alcohol service providers including collection sites, laboratories, consortiums/TPAs, MROs, and testing equipment manufacturers.

Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
Government agency providing information on drug testing and drug abuse. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is the agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation. SAMHSA’s mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on America’s communities.
Substance Abuse Program Administrators Association
An organization composed of drug-testing professional and companies. Contains news on latest developments as well as membership information. Establishing, promoting, and communicating the highest standards of quality and integrity in the substance abuse testing and prevention industry through education, training, and the exchange of ideas.
U.S. Department of Labor
A resource of regulations and statistical data on drug abuse and employment. Be sure to check out their Substance Abuse Information Database which contains a wealth of information related to workplace substance abuse issues. To foster, promote, and develop the welfare of the wage earners, job seekers, and retirees of the United States; improve working conditions; advance opportunities for profitable employment; and assure work-related benefits and rights.
Drug Watch International
A link to a position paper by this international organization working towards creating “healthy drug-free cultures.” Drug Watch International is a volunteer non-profit drug information network and organization that promotes the creation of healthy drug-free cultures in the world and opposes the legalization of drugs prohibited by national and international laws. The organization upholds a comprehensive approach to drug issues involving prevention, education, intervention/treatment, and law enforcement/interdiction.
